Superior incident ‘resolved’ following police operation

Boulder County law enforcement agencies were conducting a police operation near downtown Superior, but town officials have said the situation is now “resolved.”

The town released an email that only said there was “ongoing police activity” in the area at 11:41 a.m. today. Another alert was sent shortly before 2 p.m. indicating the situation had been “resolved” and that streets were reopening.

The bulletins did not reveal any information about the call itself.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, which handles policing for Superior, has not yet released any information about the incident either.

Police radio traffic indicated the initial call was a weapons complaint.

This story will be updated as more information is obtained.
